Awards For Loch Ness Lodge

Loch Ness Lodge scooped up a record of four awards at the Scottish Hotel Awards on Sunday night.

Up against some of the industry’s stiffest competition Loch Ness Lodge was on Sunday night named Small Luxury Hotel of the Year as well as Romantic Restaurant of the Year.  Head Chef Ross Fraser was recognised for his culinary excellence being awarded a Médaille d’Or.  In addition the hotel was rewarded for the high standard of accommodation with the Housekeeping Rooms of Excellence Award 2012.

These prestigious awards now in their ninth year are considered the flagship awards for the Scottish hotel industry and are likened by many to The Oscars.  These honours are independently and thoroughly researched.  The organisers state “The whole point of these awards is to encourage higher standards and investment and then celebrate excellence and achievement.” Voted for by consumers they are the highlight of the year for many hotel businesses.

“We are delighted with these achievements” explains General Manager and co-owner Scott Sutherland. “Fine dining with first class service is what Loch Ness Lodge builds its reputation around and it is particularly encouraging to be rewarded in this way. The success is certainly a reflection of the dedication and hard work from the whole team here at the Lodge.”
