SAA Direct flights to China
Pretoria – Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk says direct flights from South Africa to China, which started this week, will go a long way in boosting trade between the two countries.
SAA’s inaugural non-stop flight to China landed in Beijing on Tuesday, and promises to facilitate both business and leisure travel between the two countries as well as to all the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries. [Read more…]

Qwaqwa – South Africa is gradually becoming the most preferred tourist destination among international tourists.
Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk revealed that South Africa’s different cultures and products were the main attractions.
Delivering a public lecture (themed ‘Tourism Linking Cultures’) on Monday at the University of the Free State’s Qwaqwa campus ahead of World Tourism Day celebrations, the minister said 550 000 tourists arrived in the country before 1994. [Read more…]
