The Grand Hotel Brighton Overhaul

The Grand Hotel in Brighton

The Grand Hotel in Brighton

Work has commenced on a multi-million pound overhaul of Brighton’s iconic Grand Hotel – set to re-establish it as one of the most luxurious hotels in the city.

The refurbishment extends to the rejuvenation of all 201 bedrooms and update of the eleven syndicate spaces to become state of the art meeting and conference rooms, making it the perfect place for weddings, private functions and conferences. Visitors will also be able to make use of the brand new restaurant and wellbeing spa, which can be booked exclusively for wedding parties and corporate functions. Plans for the well-being spa include a plunge pool, steam rooms, a sauna and 7 treatment rooms with four nail bars.

The new restaurant, Caught at The Grand, is likely to become one of the city’s gastro hotspots with stylish lighting, furnishing and interiors, not to mention unrivalled views of the sea.  With a menu centered around seafood caught a matter of miles away in nearby Shoreham, patrons can select their dinner from a spread at the crustacea bar or from the menu and then customise their meal with the friendly on site chefs who will provide recommendations, using their expertise, to serve up the best seafood in the city.

After dinner guests can retire to the Victoria lounge and bar, which will also benefit from the refurbishment with rich new furnishings and opulent decoration, and indulge in a house-speciality cocktail made at the bar by one of the skilled mixologists.

General Manager Andrew Mosley commented:  “The team here at The Grand are really excited about the forthcoming renovations. We have listened to our customers over the past few years and have responded with these exciting improvements to our existing facilities as well as the addition of more meeting space and the spa. Seamless management of the works will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum and we look forward to welcoming local residents to relax and unwind in our Spa”

All refurbishments will be complete and open to the public and guests by early 2013.
